PostSubject: Surah Az Zukharuf- continued...   Surah Az Zukharuf- continued... Icon_minitimeFri Feb 23, 2007 10:58 am

43:56 And We made them (a people) of the Past and an Example to later ages.
FajaAAalnahum salafan wamathalan lil-akhireena

43:57 When (Jesus) the son of Mary is held up as an example, behold, thy people raise a clamour thereat (in ridicule)!
Walamma duriba ibnu maryamamathalan itha qawmuka minhu yasiddoona

43:58 And they say, "Are our gods best, or he?" This they set forth to thee, only by way of disputation: yea, they are a contentious people.
Waqaloo aalihatunakhayrun am huwa ma daraboohu laka illajadalan bal hum qawmun khasimoona

43:59 He was no more than a servant: We granted Our favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel.
In huwa illa AAabdun anAAamnaAAalayhi wajaAAalnahu mathalan libanee isra-eela

43:60 And if it were Our Will, We could make angels from amongst you, succeeding each other on the earth.
Walaw nashao lajaAAalna minkummala-ikatan fee al-ardi yakhlufoona

43:61 And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way.
Wa-innahu laAAilmun lilssaAAatifala tamtarunna biha waittabiAAooni hathasiratun mustaqeemun

43:62 Let not the Evil One hinder you: for he is to you an enemy avowed.
Wala yasuddannakumu alshshaytanuinnahu lakum AAaduwwun mubeenun

43:63 When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said: "Now have I come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which ye dispute: therefore fear Allah and obey me.
Walamma jaa AAeesa bialbayyinatiqala qad ji/tukum bialhikmati wali-obayyinalakum baAAda allathee takhtalifoona feehi faittaqooAllaha waateeAAooni

43:64 "For Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord: so worship ye Him: this is a Straight Way."
Inna Allaha huwa rabbee warabbukum faoAAbudoohuhatha siratun mustaqeemun

43:65 But sects from among themselves fell into disagreement: then woe to the wrong-doers, from the Penalty of a Grievous Day!
Faikhtalafa al-ahzabumin baynihim fawaylun lillatheena thalamoomin AAathabi yawmin aleemin

43:66 Do they only wait for the Hour - that it should come on them all of a sudden, while they perceive not?
Hal yanthuroona illa alssaAAataan ta/tiyahum baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona

43:67 Friends on that day will be foes, one to another,- except the Righteous.
Al-akhillao yawma-ithin baAAduhumlibaAAdin AAaduwwun illa almuttaqeena

43:68 My devotees! no fear shall be on you that Day, nor shall ye grieve,-
Ya AAibadi la khawfunAAalaykumu alyawma wala antum tahzanoona

43:69 (Being) those who have believed in Our Signs and bowed (their wills to Ours) in Islam.
Allatheena amanoo bi-ayatinawakanoo muslimeena

43:70 Enter ye the Garden, ye and your wives, in (beauty and) rejoicing.
Odkhuloo aljannata antum waazwajukumtuhbaroona

43:71 To them will be passed round, dishes and goblets of gold: there will be there all that the souls could desire, all that their ayes could delight in: and ye shall abide therein (for eye).
Yutafu AAalayhim bisihafinmin thahabin waakwabin wafeeha matashtaheehi al-anfusu watalaththu al-aAAyunu waantum feehakhalidoona

43:72 Such will be the Garden of which ye are made heirs for your (good) deeds (in life).
Watilka aljannatu allatee oorithtumoohabima kuntum taAAmaloona

43:73 Ye shall have therein abundance of fruit, from which ye shall have satisfaction.
Lakum feeha fakihatunkatheeratun minha ta/kuloona

43:74 The sinners will be in the Punishment of Hell, to dwell therein (for aye):
Inna almujrimeena fee AAathabijahannama khalidoona

43:75 Nowise will the (Punishment) be lightened for them, and in despair will they be there overwhelmed.
La yufattaru AAanhum wahum feehimublisoona

43:76 Nowise shall We be unjust to them: but it is they who have been unjust themselves.
Wama thalamnahumwalakin kanoo humu alththalimeena

43:77 They will cry: "O Malik! would that thy Lord put an end to us!" He will say, "Nay, but ye shall abide!"
Wanadaw ya maliku liyaqdiAAalayna rabbuka qala innakum makithoona

43:78 Verily We have brought the Truth to you: but most of you have a hatred for Truth.
Laqad ji/nakum bialhaqqiwalakinna aktharakum lilhaqqi karihoona

43:79 What! have they settled some plan (among themselves)? But it is We Who settle things.
Am abramoo amran fa-inna mubrimoona

43:80 Or do they think that We hear not their secrets and their private counsels? Indeed (We do), and Our messengers are by them, to record.
Am yahsaboona anna lanasmaAAu sirrahum wanajwahum bala warusulunaladayhim yaktuboona

43:81 Say: "If (Allah) Most Gracious had a son, I would be the first to worship."
Qul in kana lilrrahmaniwaladun faana awwalu alAAabideena

43:82 Glory to the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne (of Authority)! (He is free) from the things they attribute (to him)!
Subhana rabbi alssamawatiwaal-ardi rabbi alAAarshi AAamma yasifoona

43:83 So leave them to babble and play (with vanities) until they meet that Day of theirs, which they have been promised.
Fatharhum yakhoodoowayalAAaboo hatta yulaqoo yawmahumu allatheeyooAAadoona

43:84 It is He Who is Allah in heaven and Allah on earth; and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge.
Wahuwa allathee fee alssama-iilahun wafee al-ardi ilahun wahuwa alhakeemualAAaleemu

43:85 And blessed is He to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all between them: with Him is the Knowledge of the Hour (of Judgment): and to Him shall ye be brought back.
Watabaraka allathee lahu mulkualssamawati waal-ardi wamabaynahuma waAAindahu AAilmu alssaAAatiwa-ilayhi turjaAAoona

43:86 And those whom they invoke besides Allah have no power of intercession;- only he who bears witness to the Truth, and they know (him).
Wala yamliku allatheenayadAAoona min doonihi alshshafaAAata illaman shahida bialhaqqi wahum yaAAlamoona

43:87 If thou ask them, who created them, they will certainly say, Allah: How then are they deluded away (from the Truth)?
Wala-in saaltahum man khalaqahumlayaqoolunna Allahu faanna yu/fakoona

43:88 (Allah has knowledge) of the (Prophet's) cry, "O my Lord! Truly these are people who will not believe!"
Waqeelihi ya rabbi inna haola-iqawmun la yu/minoona

43:89 But turn away from them, and say "Peace!" But soon shall they know!
Faisfah AAanhum waqulsalamun fasawfa yaAAlamoona
